Job Description
The function of Maintenance Personnel is to perform equipment maintenance and repair as directed by the Manager-Maintenance. Maintenance personnel receive authority from and report to the Manager-Maintenance.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance as specified by Benoit’s Maintenance Program.
- Trouble shoot and repair company equipment as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualification requirements may include, but are not limited to:
- 1–5 years of general industrial maintenance experience (e.g., forklifts, conveyance systems, PLC systems, troubleshooting, general building repair, automotive repair, instrumentation calibration/repair, CNC installation/calibration/repair, etc.)
- Coursework or certification in electronic/automation technology and 1 year of industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology OR 3 years of industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic/automation technology strongly preferred
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Arc/MIG/TIG welding and cutting torch experience preferred
- 1+ year experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to safely and effectively utilize tools and maintenance equipment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future
Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to:
- Lift, move, adjust, push, pull, and carry objects to waist height up to 75lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
- Lift, move, adjust, push, pull, and carry objects from waist to shoulder height up to 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching for extended periods of time
- Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
- Frequent use of power and hand tools
- Exposure to all outdoor weather elements, temperature extremes, and noise
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time without significant fatigue
- Ability to work in office, warehouse, production, or outdoor environments as required
