Job Description

Position: Parts Technician, Order Desk
Location: Edmonton

Kristian Electric is currently looking for a Parts Technician to join our Edmonton branch. This role is focused on supporting both customers and technicians by sourcing, identifying, and managing parts for overhead cranes, welders, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in customer service, can work independently, and always keep safety front of mind.

Role Summary
As the Parts Technician, you will be the main point of contact at the Order Desk for all parts-related sales. You will be responsible for identifying, pricing, quoting, and supplying parts for cranes, welders, and general electrical and maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide strong customer service as the primary contact for parts inquiries and sales
• Answer phone calls and emails related to parts and orders
• Direct customers to the appropriate service departments when needed
• Maintain the showroom, ensuring parts are stocked and well presented
• Coordinate incoming inquiries and support internal teams
• Assist with stocking and organising inventory alongside Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Control
• Create sales orders and keep customers updated on order status
• Prepare quotes for parts and supply requests
• Support other branches with parts inquiries and sourcing
• Coordinate stock transfers between locations
• Continue building knowledge of parts, systems, and products

• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset

Education
• Registered Apprentice or Journeyman Parts Technician certification is an asset

Experience
• Minimum 2 years in a parts or order desk role
• Experience with crane, welding, or electrical parts is an asset

Working Conditions
• Professional appearance required
• Warehouse and shop environment
• Steel-toed footwear required
• Eye protection provided
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
