POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior AV Solutions Architect is a client-facing technical role responsible for developing audiovisual and collaboration solutions that align with client business requirements, technology standards, and broader IT infrastructure.
This position supports the sales process from discovery through solution development, budgeting, proposal, and transition to delivery. The role requires deep commercial AV experience combined with the ability to operate comfortably within enterprise IT, collaboration, networking, security, and other connected workplace technologies.
The Senior AV Solutions Architect is expected to independently lead complex opportunities, develop scalable standards, provide technical leadership, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams.

Client Leadership
- Serve as the lead technical presales resource for AV, collaboration, and related workplace technology opportunities.
- Lead client discovery meetings and translate business, user, and technical requirements into complete AV solutions.
- Develop system architectures, Bills of Materials, budgets, scopes of work, system narratives, and other presales documentation.
- Design solutions for conference rooms, divisible spaces, training rooms, auditoriums, classrooms, executive spaces, digital signage, and other integrated environments.
- Present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical client stakeholders.
- Conduct site surveys and evaluate existing AV systems, infrastructure, pathways, power, network connectivity, and room conditions.
- Review architectural and construction documents as part of the solution development process.
- Coordinate with Aspire networking, collaboration, security, managed services, and other technical practices on multi-discipline solutions.
- Design network-connected AV solutions with consideration for IP addressing, VLANs, PoE, multicast, device management, monitoring, and security.
- Develop collaboration solutions incorporating Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and related technologies.
- Engage manufacturers and distribution partners for product selection, pricing, demonstrations, and technical validation.
- Ensure proposed solutions are technically complete, commercially appropriate, scalable, and supportable.
- Support RFP/RFQ responses, client presentations, demonstrations, and other technical sales activities.
- Maintain current industry and manufacturer certifications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other Solutions Architects and engineering resources.
- Support transition of sold projects into engineering, project management, and delivery teams while maintaining design intent.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years of professional commercial AV experience, including AV design, engineering, consulting, or technical presales.
- Strong knowledge of audio, video, control, conferencing, signal distribution, AV-over-IP, and network-connected AV technologies.
- Demonstrated experience developing AV BOMs, budgets, scopes, and conceptual designs.
- Strong client-facing consulting and presentation experience.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, telecommunications, and AV drawings.
- Working knowledge of enterprise IP networking and its application to AV systems.
- AVIXA CTS certification or higher.
- Current manufacturer certifications from recognized professional AV manufacturers.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- AVIXA CTS-D certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, telecommunications, audiovisual technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Cisco collaboration experience, including Cisco Rooms and Devices, Webex, and Control Hub.
- Cisco technical certifications or equivalent networking and collaboration experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and other enterprise UC platforms.
- Manufacturer certifications and experience with platforms such as Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, and Cisco.
- Experience with enterprise AV monitoring and management platforms.
- Experience with physical security technologies including video surveillance, access control, intercom, sensors, and related IP-based systems.
- Verkada experience is highly desirable.
- Broader low-voltage experience including structured cabling, paging, telecommunications infrastructure, and related building technologies.
- Experience developing enterprise standards and repeatable room designs for multi-site clients.

TRAVEL: Regular travel to client locations is required for discovery meetings, site surveys, presentations, and other presales activities. Travel frequency will vary based on client and project requirements and may include occasional overnight travel.
