GENERAL SUMMARY

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing inspections, testing, audits, and quality-related activities to ensure manufactured products meet established specifications and quality standards. This role supports production operations by identifying quality issues, documenting nonconformances, conducting investigations, and assisting with corrective actions to promote continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform FAI, in-process, and final product inspections according to established procedures and specifications.

· Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, laser micrometers and comparators.

· Review production documentation for completeness and compliance with quality requirements.

· Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials, products, and processes.

· Create and maintain inspection records, quality reports, and other required documentation.

· Support RCCA investigations and CAPA activities using 5-Why, 8D, DMAIC, and other methods.

· Conduct process, product, and quality system audits as assigned.

· Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.

· Assist with containment activities related to customer complaints, internal defects, and supplier quality issues.

· Participate in CI and Kaizen initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving process capability.

· Support production personnel with quality-related training and guidance.

· Assist with audits as required.

· Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.

· Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Required Skills & Abilities

· Must be able to speak, read & write in English

· Strong written & verbal skills

· Strong attention to detail and self-starter

· Demonstrated technical competence in quality

· Thorough understanding of SPC and SQC

· Experience with NCMR and CAR process

· Strong people & problem-solving skills

· Strong computer skills in Excel, Word & Outlook

· Micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, height gauges experience.

· Basic understanding of GD&T

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs independently

· Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time

· Must be able to bend and lift as needed

· Visual ability to inspect products and detect defects

Education/ Experience

· 2+ years experience in a Quality role

· Experience with ISO9001:2015

· Associates degree preferred

Other:

· Hourly (non-exempt) position, eligible for overtime
