Job Summary:

In this hybrid role as a Press Helper / Die mounter you will be on the front lines of producing high-quality labels for our customers. Our Press Helpers are critical in preparing print jobs and keeping our presses running. This is an excellent position to start a successful career in print. On the Die Mounter side, you will pull all dies for jobs as orders are scheduled into the computer system. Dies are checked to make sure they are in good shape for a press run. If a die needs to be retooled, you'll fill out paperwork and take it to shipping. Dies are taken to the appropriate press when jobs are scheduled and are mounted into the press or removed from the press when jobs are completed. All dies are to be re-filed at the completion of the job.

Essential functions:

• Prepare Press Operator with all essential needs to keep the press running for all jobs each day
• Keep press running while Press Operator steps away for lunch, breaks, etc.
• Plan ahead, preparing the Press Operator for the next job
• Stock the press with material, laminate, ink, and chemicals to keep the press running
• Assist with changing plates, print cylinders, dies, tint sleeves and material, remove waste rolls
• Perform routine material handling duties including, but not limited to, hand trucks. Move loads in compliance with safe practices.
• Ability to lift dies that frequently weigh 50 pounds, occasionally up to 90 pounds.
• Pull all dies for each job ordered and inspect for damage.
• Mount die on to die block and place in press.
• Perform routine operations related to Press Helper when Die Mounting complete.
• Keep die inventory in good order.
• Request repair for damaged dies.
• Perform routine material handling duties, including but not limited to, hand trucks.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Demonstrated good safety record.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.

Qualifications:

• Ability to handle physical workload on average 50lbs, maximum weight 90lbs
