As we continue to expand and serve a growing patient population, we are seeking a skilled, professional, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team.

The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting providers and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. This position requires strong clinical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support

  • Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for provider visits.
  • Obtain and document accurate patient histories, vital signs, and other pertinent clinical information in the electronic medical record.
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider.
  • Perform phlebotomy, administer injections, and assist with other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
  • Ensure all relevant laboratory results, imaging reports, and medical records are available prior to patient appointments.

Clinical Operations

  • Maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate supply levels.
  • Prepare instruments and equipment for procedures and sterilization as required.
  • Monitor and document required clinical logs, including refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, oxygen supplies, and expiration dates.
  • Process and triage patient messages, prescription requests, and communications from pharmacies and other healthcare providers.
  • Respond professionally and efficiently to patient inquiries and telephone messages.

Team Collaboration

  • Partner closely with providers, clinical staff, and administrative team members to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and patient-centered workplace culture.
  • Support clinic operations and assist with additional duties as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience obtaining vital signs and documenting clinical information accurately.
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to exceptional patient service.

Preferred

  • Urology experience.
  • Experience using Epic electronic medical records.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
