JOB SUMMARY

The Installation and Repair Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining wireless and fiber internet equipment for residential and commercial customers.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install and configure wireless and fiber internet equipment for residential and commercial customers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair wireless and fiber internet equipment and connectivity issues.
  • Conduct site surveys to determine the best location for wireless and fiber internet equipment installation.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation/repair work and inventory.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Installation and Repair Supervisor.
  • Signal testing equipment prior to installation
  • Installing subscriber modules on customer’s homes
  • Keeping track of equipment inventory
  • Proper care and maintenance of company provided equipment and vehicles.
  • Actively participate in company sales program
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Wireless Internet Installation and Repair Supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of wireless and fiber internet technology and installation practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing wireless and fiber internet equipment and connectivity issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, or independently.
  • Clean driving record
  • Ladder use
  • Climbing with harness

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE **

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • 2 years’ industry experience preferred, will train the right candidate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Working and driving in various environments, including inclement weather.
  • Using ladders, lifts, or climbing TV antennas, towers, and silos.
  • Walking and working on rooftops.
  • Ability to lift occasionally 50 lbs.
  • Clean driving record
