DIRECTOR OF MEDIA
The 62ABOVE Media Team does things a little differently from most – we know media and have strong media chops, but we also know how to make our media work even harder by integrating it into the overall marketing effort. So, this means, our media team always has a seat at the table to help drive overall campaign results that are truly meaningful.
We are looking for the next media rockstar to help lead our growing team and evolve how we use media to drive true behavior change for our clients and their brands.
We are hiring for a Director of Media – this position is a foundational role in activating and analyzing all media, driving sound strategy and buying best practices across all our clients. This is a “I will wear many hats” director position. While you will lead the media team on process and delineate responsibilities, you will also be the primary lead on multiple clients which means that you will be in all our platforms often and balancing client duties with team leadership responsibilities. You will also be a key leader within the agency, helping form/optimize cross-team processes and best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead all media planning and buying processes across the agency
- Lead a team of five+ employees on media strategy and buying best practices
- Work with other media and account leads to create integrated go-to-market strategies
- Primary day-to-day media lead on multiple media or full-service clients, forming and presenting media plans and executing once approved
- Assist in standing up dashboards in reporting platform
- Identify and implement new opportunities for improving and evolving client KPI’s
- Oversee media accounting processes (budget management, insertion orders, billing reconciliation, billing discrepancies)
- Participate in new business efforts by driving and presenting media strategies/audience approach/reporting best practices
- Contribute to agency POVs with media research
- Consistently train staff on evolving digital media acumen, including in-platform training
Qualifications:
- Ten+ years of traditional and digital media experience across multiple platforms and roles
- Rich history of leading media plans and buys for a variety of clients; destination marketing or hospitality experience is preferred
- Understands identity management within a cookieless world
- Demonstrable participation in multiple new business wins
- Exceptionally strong written, oral communication and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Keynote
- Experience with trafficking complex placements and decision trees for dynamic creative optimization (Flashtalking experience a bonus)
Compensation & Benefits
Salary at 62ABOVE is determined by factors including location, education, experience, and organizational requirements. The projected range for this position is $115,000 to $130,000 (annualized USD), one component of 62ABOVE’s total compensation package.
