POSITION SUMMARY:
The Junior Healthcare Credit Analyst supports the evaluation and underwriting of healthcare real estate financing opportunities, including skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, and other healthcare-related assets. Working closely with senior credit team members and originators, this role assists with financial analysis, due diligence, credit memoranda, and transaction underwriting from initial opportunity review through loan approval and closing. The Junior Healthcare Credit Analyst is expected to develop a strong foundation in healthcare lending, commercial credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and loan structuring.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with the analysis of business, facility, and personal financial statements, operating performance, and cash flow to evaluate borrowers, guarantors, and healthcare facilities.
• Support originators and senior credit team members during the transaction process by gathering information, conducting preliminary analysis, and identifying potential credit considerations.
• Develop working knowledge of credit analysis, including primary and secondary repayment sources, cash flow, guarantor strength, collateral adequacy, and balance sheet analysis.
• Assist in preparing term sheet recommendation packages for prospective healthcare real estate financing opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain supporting analyses and documentation for Loan Committee and credit approval packages, including financial spreads, profitability models, risk ratings, HVCRE assessments, stress testing, and other required documentation.
• Assist with coordinating, organizing, and reviewing financial, operational, legal, appraisal, environmental, and other due diligence materials.
• Participate in transaction discussions with originators, credit team members, borrowers, operators, appraisers, attorneys, consultants, and lending partners as appropriate.
• Support the underwriting of healthcare real estate transactions, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, memory care communities, and other healthcare-related assets.
• Develop knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulatory considerations, and market conditions impacting healthcare real estate.
• Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and portfolio reviews as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in commercial credit, financial analysis, banking, commercial real estate, healthcare finance, accounting, or a related field. Relevant internship experience may be considered.
• Foundational understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling.
• Interest in developing expertise in healthcare real estate and commercial lending.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with originators, credit analysts, portfolio managers, credit officers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE:
In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities. The wage range for this position is $65,000 to $65,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on factors such as Experience, Qualifications, and Internal equity.
