POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shuttle Driver picks up and drops off dealership customers along a predetermined route, usually in the company van. Also ensuring the safety of customers, delivering to their destination on time, and maintaining a clean and well-kept company vehicle. Having useful knowledge regarding the area you are driving in and the sites you pass can help you build a rapport with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Safely transport dealership customers to and from designated locations using a company shuttle vehicle
  • Provide timely pick-up and drop-off service while following predetermined routes and schedules
  • Ensure passenger safety by adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and safe driving practices
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude at all times
  • Assist customers with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed
  • Keep the company vehicle clean, fueled, and well-maintained inside and out
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Communicate effectively with dealership staff regarding customer transportation needs
  • Build positive rapport with customers by providing friendly conversation and helpful information about the local area
  • Manage multiple pick-up and drop-off requests while maintaining punctuality and organization
  • Represent the dealership in a professional manner while interacting with customers and the public
  • Follow all company procedures regarding vehicle use, customer service, and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Follow company safety standards
  • Be able to read, understand and comprehend all company and regulatory policies
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service
  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles is strongly preferred

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
  • Ability to travel occasionally

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid Texas Driver's License

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pass Background Check
  • Pass Drug Test
  • 21 Years-Old or Older
