POSITION SUMMARY:
The Shuttle Driver picks up and drops off dealership customers along a predetermined route, usually in the company van. Also ensuring the safety of customers, delivering to their destination on time, and maintaining a clean and well-kept company vehicle. Having useful knowledge regarding the area you are driving in and the sites you pass can help you build a rapport with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Safely transport dealership customers to and from designated locations using a company shuttle vehicle
- Provide timely pick-up and drop-off service while following predetermined routes and schedules
- Ensure passenger safety by adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and safe driving practices
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude at all times
- Assist customers with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed
- Keep the company vehicle clean, fueled, and well-maintained inside and out
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns
- Communicate effectively with dealership staff regarding customer transportation needs
- Build positive rapport with customers by providing friendly conversation and helpful information about the local area
- Manage multiple pick-up and drop-off requests while maintaining punctuality and organization
- Represent the dealership in a professional manner while interacting with customers and the public
- Follow all company procedures regarding vehicle use, customer service, and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Follow company safety standards
- Be able to read, understand and comprehend all company and regulatory policies
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles is strongly preferred
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Prolonged periods of sitting
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Ability to travel occasionally
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Texas Driver's License
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Pass Background Check
- Pass Drug Test
- 21 Years-Old or Older
