Join a globally distributed engineering team focused on building engaging mobile experiences for millions of users around the world. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of a widely used iOS application, helping deliver accessible, scalable, and high-performing features that support knowledge sharing on a global scale. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, analysts, and fellow engineers in a remote-first environment that values autonomy, transparency, and innovation. This opportunity is ideal for a senior-level engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while mentoring others and driving product impact. The position offers strong ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to work on products with meaningful global reach.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the delivery of medium-complexity iOS initiatives from technical discovery through implementation and release
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable mobile features using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and modern iOS architectural patterns
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver user-centered solutions
  • Improve application quality through robust testing, observability, debugging, and performance optimization practices
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, pairing sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Contribute to technical planning, prioritization, and roadmap discussions while proactively identifying risks and opportunities
  • Support a culture of accessibility, transparency, maintainability, and continuous improvement across the engineering team
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and operational planning activities within a remote-first environment
  • Build mobile experiences that effectively serve diverse, multilingual, and global audiences
  • Help evolve engineering processes and contribute to scalable development practices for cross-platform mobile applications
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experience developing iOS applications
  • Strong expertise with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and iOS application architecture
  • Experience optimizing mobile application performance for responsiveness and scalability
  • Proven ability to work effectively in self-managed, fast-paced, and remote engineering environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience balancing technical quality, delivery timelines, and user impact in product development
  • Ability to mentor teammates and contribute positively to engineering culture and team growth
  • Familiarity with testing, observability, and scalable mobile engineering best practices
  • Experience with cross-platform applications, interactive mobile experiences, or webview integrations is a plus
  • Exposure to AI tools, data science concepts, open-source contributions, or content management systems is advantageous
  • Passion for mission-driven technology, knowledge sharing, and accessible digital experiences
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary ranging from approximately $113,000 to $175,000 USD depending on experience and location
  • Fully remote work environment with international collaboration opportunities
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Generous paid time off including vacation days, holidays, floating holidays, and sick leave
  • Company-paid parental leave, life insurance, and short-term disability coverage
  • 401(k) plan with company matching contributions
  • Opportunities for global collaboration, career development, and impactful open-source work
  • Inclusive and mission-driven culture focused on diversity, accessibility, and continuous learning
  • Flexible work arrangements supporting work-life balance and autonomy
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and large-scale global products.
