Sourcing Operations Director

This leadership role is focused on optimizing sourcing operations within a large-scale, global industrial environment supporting critical energy infrastructure projects.
The position drives operational excellence through process standardization, supplier performance management, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working cross-functionally with regional and operational leaders, the role plays a key part in improving sourcing efficiency, quality, delivery performance, and cost management.
It also leads the development of reporting tools and sourcing systems that enable data-driven decision-making across international teams.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
It offers the opportunity to influence global sourcing practices while managing transformation initiatives and supplier-focused programs at scale.
This position is ideal for an experienced sourcing and supply chain leader with strong analytical, operational, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead sourcing operations and oversee delivery performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost across global sourcing activities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain sourcing dashboards and reporting systems using Tableau and analytics tools to support operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing teams and regional operations through effective change management practices.
  • Manage supplier quality programs and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve supplier performance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead sourcing transformation projects, including digitization initiatives, supplier events, and process optimization efforts tied to key performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain sourcing platforms and operational tools that improve workflow efficiency and accelerate supplier engagement processes.
  • Support strategic planning activities, including KPI tracking, action plans, operational reviews, and continuous improvement calendars.
  • Collaborate effectively with international and cross-functional teams while providing strong executive-level communication and leadership support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain operations, or related functions.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, ideally within global or international environments.
  • Strong understanding of supplier management practices, sourcing operations, and enterprise sourcing platforms or systems implementations.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders in matrixed organizations.
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and dashboard development, particularly Tableau.
  • Familiarity with AI-related tools, initiatives, or operational solutions is highly valued.
  • Strong project management, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and time zones.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including advanced Excel capabilities.
