Requirements:
  • Active AHIMA (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC (CPC, COC, CIC, CRC or related) certification required
  • Minimum 2–3 years of outpatient or hospital-based coding experience, preferably including emergency department coding
  • Strong expertise in CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and E/M leveling guidelines
  • Experience with outpatient coding areas such as ED, observation, same-day surgery, injections, and infusions
  • Proficiency with coding and abstracting tools such as Epic, Dolbey Fusion, Trucode, or similar systems
  • Strong understanding of healthcare documentation standards, reimbursement systems, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, high-volume production environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for clinical and administrative coordination
  • Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet strict accuracy and productivity targets
Benefits:

  • Free continuing education units (CEUs) and support for maintaining professional certifications
