This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Operations Manager based in France.

You will join a fast-moving product-driven environment where operational excellence is key to keeping complex workflows running smoothly. In this role, you will coordinate day-to-day operations across a freelance marketplace ecosystem, ensuring tasks, stakeholders, and processes stay aligned and efficient. You will act as a central point of contact between freelancers and internal buyers, making sure communication is clear, timely, and actionable. Your work will directly impact delivery quality, SLA adherence, and overall user satisfaction. You will handle support requests, resolve operational issues, and help manage onboarding and verification processes for new contributors. Beyond execution, you will actively contribute to improving workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and shaping more scalable operational systems. This is a high-responsibility role in a dynamic, evolving environment where structure, ownership, and problem-solving make a real difference.

Accountabilities:
  • Oversee and support daily operational workflows within a freelance services environment, ensuring tasks move efficiently through defined processes.
  • Coordinate communication between freelancers and buyers, clarifying requirements, tracking task status, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
  • Monitor task progress, SLA compliance, and workflow performance while proactively identifying delays or risks.
  • Manage support requests from freelancers and resolve operational issues, including conflict and exception handling.
  • Support onboarding and verification of new freelancers, ensuring smooth integration into internal systems and processes.
  • Maintain data accuracy in Jira and other internal tools while ensuring proper tracking of operational activity.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and proposing scalable operational enhancements.
  • Escalate critical incidents or risks to team leadership when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in Operations, Project Coordination, Support, Account Management, or similar roles.
  • Strong written communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus depending on stakeholder needs).
  • Ability to manage multiple workflows, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to independently resolve issues and drive tasks to completion.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools, systems, and evolving processes.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
  • Basic experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar task/workflow management tools.
  • Experience working with freelancers, contractors, or in product-driven environments is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote or office-based flexibility depending on preference
  • Official employment contract (UK or EU arrangements supported where applicable)
  • 20 paid vacation days plus public holidays and sick leave
  • Comprehensive health insurance and access to mental health support services
  • Monthly flexible benefit allowance for personal interests, hobbies, or wellness
  • Learning and development budget, including courses, workshops, and language training
  • Structured career development with performance reviews and growth opportunities
  • Regular team events, workshops, and company offsites
  • Strong emphasis on work-life balance and flexible working culture
