Facility Housekeeper in THEODORE, Alabama at Copeland Group

Diversified Foods and Seasoning in Theodore, AL, is now hiring for a Housekeeper at our food production plant.

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the facility to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. This position supports plant operations by cleaning production areas, offices, and restrooms, disposing of waste, and performing general housekeeping and light maintenance duties according to company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain the cleanliness of all facility areas, including production floors, offices, restrooms, and break rooms.

· Sweep, mop, scrub, and disinfect floors and surfaces as required.

· Empty trash bins, clean receptacles, and properly dispose of waste.

· Clean and sanitize production equipment and tools as needed to support sanitation standards.

· Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning materials.

· Operate cleaning equipment safely (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums, pressure washers).

· Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures in compliance with company and OSHA standards.

· Report maintenance issues, spills, or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.

· Maintain accurate cleaning logs and checklists as required.

· Perform additional housekeeping or utility tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor.

Required

· Previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or sanitation work.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.

· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

· Excellent time management and reliability.

· Education: High school diploma or GED

· Math: Basic

· Reading: Basic

Preferred

· Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment.

· Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and sanitation requirements.
