Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Assistant Vice President - Strategic Sourcing, Contracting, Value Analysis and Supply Chain Information Systems (SCIS) is responsible for owning and optimizing the LifeBridge Health spend categories via extensive cross-functional collaboration and mastery of all total cost of ownership (TCO)/strategic sourcing best practices. Strategic initiatives that incorporate system-wide vision; builds shared commitment for desired future state and achieve effective value proposition of the Supply Chain organization. Assists the VP/Chief Supply Chain with alignment of the enterprise in a fiduciary manner to ensure and maintain supply chain continuity and patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ownership and accountability for actions of self and team(s).
- Review of monthly budget to align with the overall yearly budget. In addition, review and discuss of the monthly budget with direct reports of mid-management level.
- Provide and maintain a monthly survey of services provided to random departments to gauge end user satisfactory through the MMIS requisition center for orders, PO acquisition, and follow-up.
- Demonstrate ability to take responsibility and ownership for the outcome of all actions and decisions with particular emphasis on customer satisfaction and fiscal performance.
- Accountability is demonstrated by effective and efficient management of all human, fiscal, and material resources.
- Demonstrate ability to develop and cultivate mutually caring and beneficial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

- Ability to lead, coach, mentor, develop, and guide associates and clinical staff to better themselves and the LifeBridge Health.

- Competency is demonstrated by systematically providing clear objectives, performance-specific feedback, effective communication, coaching, and developmental experience/opportunities.
- Demonstrate an ability to establish effective relationships and networks with both internal and external stakeholders. Team work is characterized by working toward a shared purpose or goal by cooperation, collaborating and partnering with others.
- Alignment with clinical staff within OR, EC, Nursing, SPD, PeriOp, and physician offices.
- Demonstrate the ability to present ideas and information in a concise, timely, effective manner through written and oral forms.
- Communication is a bi-lateral platform that consists of GOOD speaker and GREAT listener skill sets. Lead by example by setting the environment for an atmosphere of coaching and developing in a manner that is driven on communication, feedback, and support to enhance an associate's skill set and experiences.
- Responsible for the responsible financial performance of the department and organization. Includes fiduciary responsibility to identify areas of improvement through cost savings opportunities or efficiency gains through process improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 7-10+ years of seasoned progressive leadership experience in hospital strategic sourcing and contracting.
- Seasoned professional knowledge equivalent to a master's degree; a combination of education/experience will be considered.
