Job Description

Senior Commercial Construction Estimator

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Construction Estimator in Mexico.

Join a fast-paced commercial construction organization delivering large-scale projects across the United States, including healthcare facilities, retail spaces, data centers, residential developments, and public infrastructure. In this role, you will take ownership of the full estimating and bid lifecycle, playing a key part in securing high-value projects for nationally recognized clients. You will work closely with ownership, project teams, subcontractors, and major contractors, ensuring accurate cost estimation and timely, competitive bids. This position is highly client-facing and requires strong communication skills to engage directly with stakeholders during the pre-construction phase. You will operate in a remote, cross-border environment where precision, responsiveness, and technical expertise directly influence project success and business growth. This is a high-impact role for an experienced estimator who thrives in managing complex bids and contributing to the expansion of a growing construction portfolio.

Accountabilities
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from commercial construction drawings using Xactimate, ensuring high accuracy in cost estimation and scope definition.
  • Conduct thorough plan and specification reviews to identify gaps, clarify requirements, and resolve scope uncertainties before bid submission.
  • Manage the full bid lifecycle, including solicitation, pricing coordination with vendors and subcontractors, and final proposal submission.
  • Serve as the primary estimating contact for clients and general contractors, responding to inquiries and supporting technical and commercial discussions.
  • Maintain and manage the estimating pipeline, tracking bid opportunities and coordinating timelines with internal stakeholders.
  • Support pre-construction activities including RFIs, submittals, vendor coordination, and scope alignment with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assist project managers with cost inputs for change orders and scope adjustments during active construction phases.
  • Ensure all estimates are aligned with project requirements, timelines, and profitability targets.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, including large-scale projects ($500K+) for U.S.-based clients.
  • Strong proficiency in Xactimate and demonstrated ability to interpret complex commercial construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end bid processes, including takeoffs, pricing coordination, and formal bid submissions.
  • Solid understanding of pre-construction workflows such as RFIs, submittals, vendor coordination, and scope management.
  • Experience interacting directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders during the estimating and bidding process.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction sectors such as healthcare, retail, hospitality, data centers, or public infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-border environment aligned with U.S. working hours.
Benefits
  • Competitive monthly compensation ranging from USD $1,500 to $3,000, depending on experience.
  • Fully remote position within LATAM.
  • Stable full-time employment with long-term collaboration potential.
  • Opportunity to work on high-value commercial construction projects across the United States.
  • Direct exposure to major national clients and complex construction programs.
  • Collaborative work environment with close involvement in project decision-making.
  • Career growth opportunities within a scaling construction organization.
  • Hands-on involvement in both estimating and pre-construction strategy.
