  • Provide copyediting and proofreading support to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to editorial guidelines and brand voice.
  • Adapt tone and messaging for diverse audiences while maintaining clarity and emotional resonance across platforms.
  • Support content refinement across cross-functional initiatives in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
  • Contribute to maintaining and evolving messaging standards to strengthen overall brand coherence.
Requirements:
  • 4–7 years of professional copywriting experience, ideally in a mission-driven, nonprofit, or purpose-led organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations, Creative Writing, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across short-form and long-form content, including digital, email, social, and campaign writing.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to tone, detail, and clarity.
  • Ability to quickly adapt messaging style for different audiences and communication channels.
  • Experience working within collaborative creative or marketing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to receive feedback and iterate effectively.
Benefits:
  • Hourly compensation ranging from $28.00 – $38.00 based on experience
  • Remote, U.S.-based flexible work arrangement with non-traditional scheduling options
  • 6-month temporary, part-time engagement (approximately 10–15 hours per week)
  • Opportunity to contribute to mission-driven communications supporting disaster response efforts
  • Exposure to a collaborative brand and communications team environment
  • Chance to work on high-visibility storytelling and campaign initiatives
  • Flexible engagement through a third-party staffing arrangement.
