Job Description
StenTech is seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanical Designer to join our team in Hillsboro, OR. This position is ideal for someone looking to begin or grow a career in mechanical design. The successful candidate will assist with creating and maintaining accurate 2D CAD drawings while supporting engineering and manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, revise, and maintain accurate 2D CAD drawings.
- Interpret design requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
- Ensure drawings and documentation are complete, accurate, and organized.
- Maintain design files and documentation according to company standards and revision control procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to support project timelines and objectives.
- Identify and communicate design issues or discrepancies.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the design process.
- Assist with engineering change requests and design revisions as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Day Shift (7:00 AM–4:00 PM; start time may be adjusted ±1 hour based on business needs)

- Experience using 2D CAD software, such as AutoCAD or similar applications, acquired through work experience, education, vocational training, or internships.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong spatial recognition and visualization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Associate's degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant work experience, vocational training, internships, military technical training, or other equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of the preferred associate's degree.
- Must pass all required drug, background, and compliance screenings.
