About the Role:
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Mountain View Headache And Spine Institute plays a vital role in supporting safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care within Mountain View Headache and Spine Institute. This position provides direct clinical support to licensed medical staff and contributes to a positive patient experience before, during, and after infusion treatments.
The Infusion EMT is responsible for hands‑on patient care, monitoring patient status, maintaining clinical areas, and adhering to all medical, safety, and regulatory standards. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid EMT-Basic certification recognized in the United States.
- Completion of a state-approved Emergency Medical Technician training program.
- Current CPR certification from an accredited organization.
- Basic computer skills to document patient care
- Need to have experience starting IV's
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with preparation for infusion therapy, including room setup and positioning
- Initiate and maintain IV access within EMT scope and clinic protocols
- Obtain, monitor, and document vital signs before, during, and after treatment
- Observe patients for adverse reactions and report concerns to licensed staff
Skills:
The EMT uses intermediate computer skills daily to document patient information accurately. Medic and patient care skills are essential for assessing patient conditions, administering emergency treatments, and providing compassionate care under stressful conditions. Infection control expertise is applied consistently to maintain a safe environment for both patients and EMTs.
