This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. National Sales Account Manager - New Accounts based in the United States.

This is a high-impact national sales role focused on expanding strategic retail presence across major channels, including home improvement and sporting goods. You will be responsible for driving new account acquisition, building long-term buyer relationships, and translating commercial strategy into measurable revenue growth. The role sits at the intersection of sales leadership, retail execution, and cross-functional coordination, requiring strong commercial judgment and the ability to manage complex retail ecosystems. You will oversee end-to-end account performance, from onboarding and negotiations to forecasting and in-store execution readiness. The environment is fast-moving and highly collaborative, involving close partnership with operations, finance, marketing, and product teams. This position is ideal for a sales professional who thrives in ownership-driven roles and enjoys building and scaling retail partnerships from the ground up.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the development, acquisition, and retention of new strategic retail accounts across major national channels.
  • Own buyer relationships end-to-end, including onboarding, negotiations, pricing strategy, and ongoing account management.
  • Manage third-party distribution partners and ensure effective execution of retail programs through logistical coordination.
  • Oversee retail account P&L, including pricing structures, discounts, marketing spend, and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (finance, operations, marketing, product, and customer service) to align execution and maximize account performance.
  • Manage forecasting, demand planning, and purchase order accuracy to ensure optimal inventory and supply chain efficiency.
  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities to expand channel reach and revenue streams.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met across competing priorities.
  • Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to inform channel strategy and positioning.
Requirements:
  • 3–5 years of experience in national or key account sales management, ideally within major retail environments (e.g., Home Depot, Lowe’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods).
  • Proven experience managing retail accounts through distribution partners, including contract negotiation and program oversight.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to translate commercial plans into revenue-driving execution.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills across both internal stakeholders and external retail partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage retail analytics, syndicated data (e.g., Circana), and forecasting tools for decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and buyer engagement processes.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary and equity opportunities.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Wellness, learning, and home-office stipends.
  • Unlimited paid time off and monthly company holidays.
  • High level of autonomy with ownership over national retail accounts and strategy.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment with strong growth and expansion opportunities.
