Sr. Manager - Program Operations - Copay Assistance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Manager – Program Operations – Copay Assistance based in the United States.

This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the design, execution, and performance of copay assistance and coordinating center programs supporting specialty pharmaceutical services. You will lead cross-functional operational teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient support services, high-quality customer experience, and strict adherence to program guidelines. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure programs are scalable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. You will also play a key role in optimizing processes, strengthening operational governance, and driving continuous improvement across multiple programs. Acting as a primary client-facing leader, you will ensure strong relationships, effective communication, and resolution of escalations. The environment is fast-paced, highly regulated, and mission-driven, requiring strong leadership, operational expertise, and strategic thinking. This is a high-impact role contributing directly to patient access and program success across the pharmaceutical services landscape.

Accountabilities:
  • Oversee the end-to-end management and execution of copay assistance and coordinating center programs to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Lead and support program managers and associate managers in delivering high-quality customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Serve as the primary operational liaison for clients, ensuring alignment, communication, and resolution of escalated issues.
  • Monitor program performance, analyze effectiveness, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensure teams are equipped with proper tools, training, and resources to meet customer satisfaction and program requirements.
  • Support development of SOPs, training materials, and program documentation in collaboration with project leadership.
  • Assist with scalability planning and operational design for current and future program growth.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including RFP responses, budgeting, and operational input.
  • Ensure accurate documentation practices and compliance with sponsor and regulatory requirements across all programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in program operations, customer service leadership, or healthcare/pharmaceutical services.
  • Proven experience managing copay assistance programs or similar specialty pharmaceutical support programs strongly preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience managing managers and cross-functional operational teams.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare service operations, compliance, and customer support workflows.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience driving operational improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with operational systems and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with minimal travel requirements.
