This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Modality Director, APAC Genomic Medicine based in India.
This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for driving strategic growth across the genomic medicine modality in the APAC region. You will shape and execute regional commercial strategy while owning modality performance across revenue, pipeline development, and key account expansion. Acting as both strategist and deal leader, you will support country teams in closing complex, high-value opportunities while ensuring consistent execution across diverse markets. The role operates at the intersection of science, commercial strategy, and cross-functional execution in the fast-evolving field of genomic medicine. You will work closely with global and regional stakeholders to accelerate adoption of advanced life science technologies. This position is ideal for a commercially driven leader with strong expertise in biopharma and a passion for transforming healthcare innovation into real-world impact.
- Own and drive modality-level commercial performance across APAC, including revenue delivery, pipeline growth, and forecast accuracy
- Lead strategic planning for genomic medicine growth aligned with global priorities and regional market dynamics
- Identify, prioritize, and develop high-value commercial opportunities and strategic accounts in collaboration with country teams
- Lead complex multi-country deals, supporting pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and win-rate optimization
- Ensure strong commercial discipline through structured funnel management, forecasting rigor, and consistent operating rhythms
- Translate market trends in genomic medicine into actionable growth strategies and customer adoption initiatives
- Drive platform adoption and spec-win strategies to embed solutions into customer workflows and ecosystems
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Service, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure execution alignment
- Support capability building and commercial enablement across regional and country teams
- Establish governance and performance frameworks to ensure consistent execution across APAC markets
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Significant experience in biopharma, genomic medicine, cell & gene therapy, or related life sciences industries
- Proven track record in regional commercial leadership or matrixed team management roles
- Strong experience leading complex, multi-country commercial deals and strategic accounts
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable commercial processes and drive operational excellence
- Strong commercial acumen with deep experience in deal structuring and revenue growth delivery
- Familiarity with platform adoption models, spec-win strategies, or solution-based selling approaches is highly desirable
- Experience working within CDMO ecosystems or partnership-driven life sciences markets is a plus
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across global and regional organizations
- Willingness to travel across APAC as required
