Job Description
Beacon Health System is seeking a compassionate and motivated PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing rehabilitation team. In this role, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based occupational therapy services that help patients regain independence, improve function, and enhance quality of life following illness, injury, or surgery.
Whether you are an experienced therapist or a new graduate, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and clinical findings.
- Establish measurable functional goals and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve mobility, self-care, strength, coordination, and independence.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, equipment use, and home programs.
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, case managers, rehabilitation staff, and therapy assistants.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a safe transition of care.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation that meets regulatory and insurance requirements.
- Supervise and collaborate with Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with state practice standards.
- Serve as a resource for staff, students, and rehabilitation team members.
Required:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Indiana Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
Preferred:
- Acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or hospital-based therapy experience.
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
