Director of Operations – Healthcare

Location: Houston, TX

What You’ll DoStrategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency, quality of care, and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational goals with EPIC Health’s mission and long-term vision.
  • Drive growth initiatives and operational scalability across multiple healthcare locations.
Operational Oversight
  • Oversee daily operations, including staffing, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Support clinic leaders and department managers in achieving operational and financial goals.
Financial Management
  • Develop and manage budgets, control expenses, and maximize revenue streams.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to ensure organizational success.
Quality and Performance Improvement
  • Lead initiatives to monitor and improve the quality of healthcare services, patient outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
  • Implement performance metrics and benchmarking to drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, excellence, and patient-centered care.
Team Development
  • Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting professional development and engagement.
  • Build succession plans and leadership development strategies across the organization.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Build strong relationships with physicians, clinical staff, administrators, and external partners.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and operational success.
  • Serve as a key liaison between executive leadership and frontline operations teams.
Technology Integration
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and innovations in healthcare technology.
  • Leverage data analytics and reporting tools to support operational decision-making.
Risk Management
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to safeguard the organization’s reputation and assets.
What You BringQualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience.
  • Experience overseeing multi-site healthcare operations, ambulatory care, primary care, specialty care, or value-based care programs preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
  • Experience managing budgets, operational performance, and cross-functional teams.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success leading teams and managing complex projects in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software, data analysis tools, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented healthcare organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Healthcare Administration (e.g., Certified Healthcare Executive, Certified Medical Practice Executive).
  • Experience managing multi-location healthcare facilities or large-scale healthcare operations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin is highly preferred to effectively support Houston’s diverse patient population.
  • Experience working with underserved, multicultural, and multilingual communities is strongly preferred.
