POSITION SUMMARY
Senior members of Pequot Manufacturing’s leadership team reporting to Thru-Put Manager or other designated managerial level personnel. Depending on the department structure, an Assistant Manager may perform the key responsibilities of a Team Leader or Shift Lead. Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications; while striving for on-time delivery.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Resolves higher level personnel grievances from Operations employees, following Company policy and procedures. Time management and attendance; check time sheets to confirm hours worked, time off requests, attendance line, and monitors attendance in accordance with the company’s Attendance Policy.
- Performance reviews; sets employee development path; holds employees accountable to policies; executes disciplinary actions and documents in Taleo and works constructively to resolve conflicts.
- Scheduling crossover work with various departments, schedules department employees’ work hours and approximate overtime to achieve maximum thru-put.
- Manages entire NCMR and RMA processes and seeks timely resolutions; works with other department leadership to mitigate quality issues as they arise.
- Charged with overall department communication: Department meetings, scheduling board and transitional meetings between shifts.
- Provides leadership & direction for all tier leadership levels within production operations. Actions strive to maximize resources to produce quality products and services while striving for on-time delivery.
- Oversee and directs Maintenance requests and operations with regards to daily priorities and concerns.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Degree not necessarily required; successful production manager demonstrates leadership and business acumen; understands job shop manufacturing uniqueness.
Experience: Previous experience which would demonstrate the ability to effectively carry out the essential functions of the position. Generally, this position would require several years of experience within a high level production environment.
Computer Skills Ability to use a personal computer and related programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word as well as manufacturing job shop software.
