As a Food and Beverage Manager at The Westin Nashville, you’ll lead the daily operations of our culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service experiences, creating memorable moments for every guest while inspiring a high-performing team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead and oversee daily Food and Beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage, room service, and banquet functions, ensuring consistent quality, service standards, and operational efficiency.
- Provide visible, engaged leadership that models the hotel’s service culture, professionalism, integrity, and commitment to exceptional guest and associate experiences.
- Supervise and support Food and Beverage leaders and team members, setting clear performance expectations and maintaining appropriate staffing, productivity, and service levels.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment that fosters teamwork, trust, empowerment, motivation, and continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor, train, and develop team members to strengthen performance, service skills, product knowledge, and career growth.
- Establish and maintain high standards for guest service, proactively responding to guest concerns and taking ownership of issues through resolution or appropriate escalation.
- Communicate effectively with guests, associates, leadership, and other departments through meetings, written communications, department logs, and other appropriate channels.
- Develop and execute action plans based on guest satisfaction and operational feedback to address areas of opportunity and build on departmental strengths.
- Manage departmental financial performance, including budgets, operating expenses, forecasting, scheduling, cost controls, and financial reporting, while supporting the achievement of business objectives.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate cost management and productivity levels across Food and Beverage operations.
- Ensure compliance with hotel, brand, corporate, accounting, sanitation, safety, and service standards and procedures.
- Partner with the Executive Leadership team on key operational and business decisions and align Food and Beverage goals with overall hotel objectives.
- Conduct timely performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback and counseling, and recognize team members for exceptional performance.
- Ensure associates understand and consistently demonstrate the hotel’s service culture, policies, and standards, including fair treatment and open-door practices.
- Use operational and financial data, guest feedback, and analytical thinking to identify opportunities, solve problems, make sound decisions, and improve department performance.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize departmental activities and resources to effectively accomplish operational and financial goals.
- Maintain effective departmental communication and information systems to ensure teams have the information needed to deliver seamless service.
- Utilize basic computer and business systems to manage operational information, financial data, communications, scheduling, and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the Food and Beverage department and overall hotel.

OTHER:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.
