IronLeaf Designs is seeking two experienced CNC & Plasma Machine Operators to join our growing production and fabrication team. These positions are responsible for setting up and operating CNC router and plasma cutting equipment to accurately produce components according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
The ideal candidates have at least three years of hands-on experience operating CNC router, laser, plasma, or similar manufacturing equipment, understand manufacturing and fabrication processes, and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Both operators will be expected to work across CNC and plasma equipment based on production needs. We are looking for individuals who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, able to troubleshoot issues, and comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative shop environment.
Candidates with strong experience on one type of machine who are willing and able to become proficient on the other are encouraged to apply.
What you’ll do· Set up and operate CNC router and plasma cutting equipment according to specifications and production requirements
· Operate laser equipment as needed based on experience and production needs
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and production documentation
· Load materials, select appropriate tooling, and prepare machines for production
· Perform machine programming and make adjustments as needed
· Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and consistency
· Measure and inspect completed parts to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality
· Use measuring and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, squares, and tape measures accurately
· Identify and troubleshoot machine, tooling, programming, and dimensional issues
· Perform routine equipment inspections, basic daily maintenance, and cleaning
· Deburr, clean, finish, and prepare manufactured components as needed
· Assist with assembly of parts and finished products
· Perform welding and light fabrication work when needed and qualified
· Handle materials and finished components safely and efficiently
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
· Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and other members of the production team
· Assist with other fabrication and shop responsibilities as production needs require
Qualifications· Minimum 3 years of CNC router, laser, plasma, or similar machine operating experience required
· Demonstrated experience setting up and operating CNC and/or plasma cutting equipment
· Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, dimensions, and tolerances
· Ability to accurately use common measuring and inspection tools
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
· Ability and willingness to operate and become proficient on both CNC and plasma equipment
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
· Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
· Dependable, punctual, and able to manage multiple production priorities
· Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
· CNC and/or plasma programming experience preferred
· CAD experience preferred
· Welding experience preferred
· Laser operating experience preferred
