Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Recruitment Resourcer / 180 Recruiter based in South Africa.
This is a key opportunity to become the right-hand recruitment partner to an experienced UK recruiter within a growing boutique consultancy. You’ll take ownership of the candidate pipeline across several live vacancies, with a strong focus on sourcing and engaging high-quality UK talent. The role is heavily focused on LinkedIn recruitment, screening, qualification, and candidate relationship management. You’ll work across multiple sectors, primarily recruiting sales professionals for established UK businesses. Initially operating within a 180 recruitment model, you’ll have the opportunity to gradually take on more client-facing responsibilities as the business grows. The environment is autonomous, relationship-led, and focused on quality placements rather than high-volume transactional recruitment.
- Own the candidate sourcing and qualification process across approximately 3–5 live vacancies at any given time.
- Conduct targeted, high-volume candidate searches primarily through LinkedIn Recruiter and other relevant platforms.
- Identify, approach, engage, and build relationships with suitable UK-based candidates.
- Conduct initial screening and qualification calls, assessing candidates against detailed vacancy requirements and evaluating their suitability.
- Prepare clear, structured candidate shortlists and summaries for presentation to the lead recruiter.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, keeping them engaged and informed.
- Manage job descriptions, candidate correspondence, recruitment administration, interview scheduling, and candidate logistics.
- Conduct professional phone and video interviews and provide clear feedback on candidate suitability.
- Coordinate with the lead recruiter throughout the process, handing qualified candidates across when they are ready to be presented to clients.
- Gradually take on elements of client communication and relationship management as experience and responsibilities develop.
- Independently manage priorities across multiple vacancies while maintaining a high standard of candidate experience and attention to detail.
- 2–3+ years of recruitment experience within a UK-focused environment, whether agency, in-house, or as part of a remote recruitment team.
- Strong understanding of the UK recruitment market, candidate expectations, and hiring practices.
- Excellent LinkedIn sourcing skills, with confidence using LinkedIn Recruiter or advanced LinkedIn search to identify and approach candidates at volume.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence and professionalism required to communicate with UK-based candidates and, eventually, clients.
- Excellent candidate-screening instincts, with the ability to quickly assess suitability and ask effective qualification questions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication skills for candidate summaries, emails, notes, and recruitment documentation.
- Highly self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage several vacancies independently and work effectively without close supervision.
- Comfortable conducting frequent outbound phone and video calls and equipped with reliable high-speed internet, a quality headset, and an appropriate home-working setup.
- Availability to work UK-aligned business hours, approximately 08:00–16:30 South Africa time, Monday to Friday.
- Experience recruiting sales professionals, particularly field-based sales candidates, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with sectors such as FMCG, food service, finance, or property is a plus.
- Experience with UK job boards, ATS platforms, VoIP systems, or WhatsApp-based candidate outreach is desirable.
- Previous experience working in a boutique consultancy alongside a senior recruiter would be an advantage.
- Fully remote position based in South Africa.
- Competitive monthly ZAR retainer plus commission linked to successful placements.
- 37.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, aligned with UK business hours.
- Opportunity to work closely with an experienced recruiter and become a key contributor to a growing recruitment operation.
- Significant career-development potential, with the opportunity to progress from candidate-focused recruitment into broader client-facing responsibilities.
- Exposure to established UK businesses and a range of sectors, with a strong focus on sales recruitment.
- Opportunity to work within a quality-focused, relationship-led recruitment environment rather than a high-volume transactional model.
- Access to the systems and tools required to operate as an integrated member of the team.
- Ongoing support and regular check-ins throughout the placement.
- Opportunity to join a broader network of South African professionals working remotely with UK businesses.
