Job Summary - House Manager
CarePlus Residential Services is seeking a dependable, organized, and experienced House Manager to oversee daily operations at one of our residential homes. The House Manager is responsible for supervising Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), coordinating staff schedules, ensuring quality client care, and maintaining a safe and supportive living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise, train, and support DSP staff assigned to the residence.
2. Coordinate employee schedules, shift coverage, and daily staffing needs.
3. Ensure clients receive quality, person-centered care in accordance with their individual service plans.
4. Monitor medication administration, appointments, and daily client activities.
5. Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and required records.
6. Ensure compliance with CarePlus policies, Maine DHHS regulations, and safety standards.
7. Oversee household cleanliness, supplies, maintenance, and general residential operations.
8. Communicate effectively with management, staff, guardians, and healthcare providers.
9. Respond to staffing concerns, emergencies, and operational needs as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous DSP or residential care experience preferred.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
DSP certification and CPR/First Aid certification required, or ability to obtain as permitted by applicable requirements.
CRMA and CPI certifications preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable background screening requirements.
Work Expectations:
Must be dependable, professional, and able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or emergencies as operational needs require.
