Director, CCIA Portfolio Management

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, CCIA Portfolio Management based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of portfolio strategy, advanced analytics, and business execution within a high-impact diagnostics environment. You will lead the development and management of the Clinical Chemistry & Immunoassay (CCIA) portfolio planning function, transforming complex financial, market, and customer data into actionable insights that guide strategic and operational decisions. The position plays a critical role in bridging portfolio strategy with execution, ensuring product investments are aligned with business priorities and market needs. You will partner closely with product, program, and cross-functional leadership teams to shape investment strategies, optimize product portfolios, and enhance decision-making through data-driven insights. A key focus is building scalable frameworks, predictive models, and reporting systems that improve portfolio visibility and performance. This is a highly strategic leadership role where your analytical expertise directly influences innovation, profitability, and long-term portfolio success.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end management of the CCIA portfolio planning function, including strategy alignment, performance tracking, and execution reporting
  • Develop advanced analytics frameworks to evaluate portfolio financial performance, market trends, and customer insights to guide strategic decision-making
  • Translate complex datasets into actionable insights, identifying risks, opportunities, and optimization scenarios across the product portfolio
  • Build and standardize portfolio reporting systems, dashboards, and data governance practices to ensure consistent visibility and decision support
  • Partner with Product and Program Management teams to develop and track investment plans, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and resource allocation
  • Drive predictive modeling and scenario analysis to assess portfolio health and inform future product and investment strategies
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in portfolio management tools, processes, and reporting methodologies
  • Support enterprise-level initiatives, including AI-driven transformation efforts to enhance portfolio optimization and operational efficiency
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field with 20+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 18+ years, or PhD with 15+ years
  • Extensive experience in portfolio management, business analytics, or strategic planning within complex organizations
  • Strong ability to translate financial, market, and customer data into strategic and operational recommendations
  • Proven experience with portfolio management tools, executive reporting, and data visualization platforms
  • Deep understanding of product portfolio optimization, investment planning, and performance management
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with product, program, and executive stakeholders
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers
  • Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or healthcare industries is highly preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma, product management, or innovation experience is a plus
