What You'll Own
- Serve as the primary on-site technical support resource and escalation point, ensuring all technical activities are executed according to plan, including, but not limited to, providing hands-on support for equipment unboxing, racking and stacking hardware, and maintaining a clean, organized, and functional work environment.
- Design, implement, and support on-site network infrastructure solutions for K-12, SLED, and medical clients.
- Own the lifecycle of network deployments, refreshes, and modernization projects across multiple customer environments and locations.
- Hands-on Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Work on-site with project managers, architects, and fellow engineers to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Perform on-site network assessments, hardware replacements, infrastructure upgrades, and technology lifecycle refreshes.
- Own and implement solutions leveraging Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, Aruba, Palo Alto, and other enterprise networking platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and security issues in client environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and implementation procedures.
- Conduct hands-on training of junior engineers and technicians while helping drive technical excellence across project teams.
- Participate in after-hours project work, maintenance windows, and on-call support as required.
What We're Looking For
- Availability to work after-hours and travel to client sites
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless networking, and network security concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, Palo Alto, or similar enterprise networking technologies.
- Experience performing network upgrades, hardware refreshes, migrations, and greenfield deployments.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPN technologies, and network access control solutions.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in diverse customer environments.
- Experience working in client-facing, consulting, or professional services environments preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with project teams, and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto, or equivalent are preferred.
