Construction Project Manager in Matthews, North Carolina at Sam's Xpress Car Wash

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day schedule for projects under construction
Maintain a timely schedule, including ensuring projects meet key milestones
Closely monitoring contract performance, identifying problems in construction and seeking appropriate resolutions
The project manager will take projects from pre-construction/permitting to awarding a General Contractor and overseeing all aspects of construction until Certificate of Occupancy is achieved.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, solicit bids, providing analytics and recommendations for certain scopes of work and budgets
- Liaison between preferred subcontractors and general contractors
- Work closely with the preconstruction team, architects and engineers to ensure projects are ready for the field.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience working on commercial projects
- Possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in using pricing software, budget tracking and contract management
- Must be self-motivated and be able to work both in the office and in the field
- Must be able to anticipate challenges ahead of time and be prepared to navigate through them
- Advanced proficiency in reading plans and adhering to code

An ideal candidate would have experience in car wash, fuel, QSR and similar construction to be able to more seamlessly flow into our projects

Travel & Work Environment:
- The Project Manager will be able to visit job sites multiple times per month
- Being present at the corporate office for bi-weekly meetings, as well as inter- office meetings
- Must be able to maintain a flexible full-time schedule including working some evenings and weekends.
- Hours of work include, but are not limited to, the hours of operation. Current hours of operation are 7days a week, 7:30am-9pm, closing only December 25th. Typical corporate office hours are Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm.
