Job Purpose

The primary focus of a Private Client Officer is to provide exceptional service to clients and to create an experience that goes above and beyond that of the traditional banking atmosphere. We believe in having open, honest, and genuine conversations with our clients to make sure we are helping them to make the right financial decisions for their unique situation. As a Private Client Officer within the Private Client Services team, you will be at the forefront of client interactions for the bank. This role requires exceptional service skills and effective communication, as well as being proactive in conversations to identify opportunities that meet and exceed client expectations. These expectations lay the foundation of how we set ourselves apart from the competition and create an experience that is unlike any other in the industry.

Job Description

Responsible for promoting financial products and services while providing exceptional service and developing deposit relationships with current and prospective client base. Provide tailored financial solutions while cultivating lasting client relationships. Work closely with other business line partners to develop relationships and ensure retention of total client assets and net growth in relationships for clients. Flawless execution of the internal procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize exceptions. Perform unique client onboarding experience into the Private Client Services team to set the tone for the relationship that is above the standard. Must have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, and must adhere to the minimum service expectations set out by the bank.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded.
  • Provide outstanding service at every client touchpoint, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Efficiently manage and respond to client requests, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Handle front-line client interactions across various channels including phone, email, and walk-ins.
  • Proactively manage the bank's CD portfolio, identifying and acting on opportunities to enhance client wealth.
  • Educate clients on the bank's products and services, helping them make informed financial decisions.
  • Evaluate client’s products and services to determine which options best meet their needs and financial circumstances.
  • Connect clients with appropriate internal partners to address specific needs or opportunities.
  • Onboard new and existing client relationships ensuring a smooth and seamless client journey through effective coordination with various departments.
  • Engage with clients and take ownership of their experience.
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to improve service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, and review work completed throughout the day for accuracy.
  • Efficiently scan and store client documents and records, ensuring easy retrieval and secure storage.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on private client services and products.

Other Key Job Functions

  • Communicate effectively with Senior Management, Auditors, Vendors, and other bank personnel.
  • Adhere to all bank and department personnel policies and procedures.
  • Perform other reasonably related job responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior banking or related industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated passion for client service, with a proven track record of going above and beyond to meet client needs and exceed expectations
  • Experience recommending financial products and services
  • Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong spelling and grammar skills
  • Ability to maintain strictest level of confidentiality
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong work ethic
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Focus on timely follow up
  • Regular reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions to this position
