Tree Service Technician in Front Royal, Virginia at Timber Works Tree Care

Timber Works Tree Care is hiring full-time groundsmen, starting at $18 per hour with full benefits. No experience is required; we train the right people.

Groundsmen are the backbone of every Timber Works crew. You'll work alongside our climbers and crew leaders on residential and commercial tree removals, pruning, and storm cleanup, keeping the job site safe, organized, and moving.

• Drag brush and feed the chipper safely
• Cut, split, and load logs and wood debris
• Run ropes and lowering lines to support climbers
• Set up and maintain job-site safety zones, cones, and signage
• Rake, blow, and clean up so every property is left better than we found it
• Load, unload, and maintain trucks, chippers, saws, and equipment
• Treat customers and their property with courtesy and respect
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly and do physical work all day
• Team player who takes direction and communicates well
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Chainsaw or tree-care experience a plus, but not required; we'll train you

This is a full-time, physically demanding outdoor position. Work involves noise, heavy equipment, uneven ground, and changing weather. Occasional early starts, overtime, or storm-response work may be required.
