Description: Paint Department Team Leader
Anderson, SC | Contract to Hire | $26–$27/hour
HTI is seeking Paint Department Team Leaders for an automotive supplier in Anderson, SC. This role supports daily production by providing direction to operators, promoting safe work practices, and ensuring associates have the tools and training needed to produce quality parts.
This opportunity offers conversion to direct hire at three months, with a pay increase once hired on.
Pay & Available ShiftsBase pay: $26/hour
Off-shift premium: $1/hour, bringing off-shift pay to $27/hour
Available schedules:
1st shift: 4:45 AM–1:00 PM
3rd shift: 8:45 PM–5:00 AM
3rd shift: 11:45 PM–8:00 AM
Competitive starting pay of $26/hour
An additional $1/hour for off shifts
A three-month contract-to-hire opportunity
Pay increase upon conversion to direct hire
Hands-on leadership experience within an automotive manufacturing environment
Opportunity to build your skills in production coordination, employee training, and quality
Direct operators and assign tasks to support daily production goals.
Monitor production schedules and ensure parts, tools, and resources are available.
Train and mentor associates on standardized work, safety procedures, and quality expectations.
Monitor product quality and reinforce customer requirements.
Promote safe working conditions and report safety or performance concerns to the shift manager.
Maintain an organized work area through 5S practices and proper waste handling.
Support environmental procedures, including spill and leak prevention and reporting.
Communicate production performance and issues to leadership.
Provide operator relief or assist with shift coverage during emergencies.
Ensure associates follow work instructions and quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
High school diploma or GED
Automotive manufacturing experience in assembly, injection molding, or paint
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Strong organizational and communication skills
Commitment to safety and product quality
Ability to provide clear direction and support a production team
