Job Description

Firehawk is a propulsion-focused aerospace and defense company based in the Dallas, TX area. Firehawk is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for the Crawford, Mississippi site, whose primary responsibilities would include leading the production team and manufacturing operations. '

Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Manager, you will serve in a hands-on leadership role in overseeing operational performance in safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost. Your responsibilities will include:

•Lead day to day manufacturing operations to meet production schedule and business priorities.
•Ensures all safety policies and procedures are strictly followed.
•Orient, train/develop, motivate, counsel and assist team members in following strict work instructions, production standards, and the balanced flow of work in a safe manner.
•Perform all supervisory functions including work assignments, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as required.
•Works closely with engineering t to make manufacturing more cost-effective and efficient.
•Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to productivity, cost, utilization, efficiency, quality, scrap, rework, and on time delivery.
•Assist with planning factory layouts to optimize production.
•Estimate labor hours for production for budgets and proposals.
•Ensures daily accountability of high security components.
•Ensures job budgets are met.

Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management discipline
•Minimum 5 years of relevant Manufacturing experience
•Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
•Experience with Manufacturing / Assembly / Production processes
•Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
•Demonstrated drive to deliver on tight schedules, especially when unconventional & creative solutions are necessary

Preferred Qualifications
•10+ years of experience in aerospace or related field
•Energetic production experience
•Ability to interpret engineering drawings, product / performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
•Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
•Process improvement experience
•GD&T experience
•Self-motivated, performs work with the general direction

ITAR Requirements:
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds; may require minimal walking, standing for extended amounts of time, climbing, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.

Security Clearance:
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. You must also be able to obtain BATF clearance to posses explosive materials.
