To instruct the lab component of the Natural Resource Science course NRSC 2000 – Introduction to Soil Science. The sessional instructor will run the lab section of the course. The sessional instructor will be responsible for field site visits and delivering the lab material each week as well as the marking of lab assignments (lab reports, lab exam etc.).
(2 – two hour labs per week = 2+1.5 = 3.5 credits).
A MSc in environmental science (or related area) is preferred but a BSc with strong field/operational experience would be considered. Past teaching experience would be considered an asset.
The candidate requires:
• A clear understanding of the Canadian soil classification system
• Experience with soil field techniques.
• Work experience in soils at a field/operational level
