**The Details**

• Position: Parking Attendant
• Location: Salinas, CA
• Pay Rate:$17.50/HR
• Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 2pm to 7pm OR 6:30pm to 12:30am & Friday and Saturday 5pm to 10:30 OR 6pm to 2:30 am

TheGarage Attendantis responsible for ensuring garages are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis. Interface with customers, handle disputes, provide effective communication between departments, co-workers, customers and clients.

• Responsibilities:

  • Monitor parking facilities for vehicles in violation of parking ordinances by following an assigned route.
  • Issue LAZ approved parking citations for vehicles in violation of policies and procedures.
  • Screen for parking placards and permits for special privileges within approved areas.
  • Resolve customer complaints in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and care for all company issued equipment.
  • Assist with any special assignments and projects as requested.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Skills:

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.
• Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
• Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
• Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work in elements-heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
