Job Summary:
The SMT Feeder Set-Up Operator supports the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line by performing SMT feeder setup and teardown, line preparation, and equipment handling. This role ensures smooth production flow, adherence to quality standards, and timely execution of assembly tasks in a fast-paced EMS environment.
Responsibilities:
Set up and prepare SMT feeders by loading components and adjusting feeder settings.
Verify work order documentation, tooling, and components prior to loading to ensure quality and accuracy.
Review production schedule dashboard by date and line; confirm availability of Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI).
Inspect work against predefined standards and escalate issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
Execute written and verbal instructions from the Production Supervisor.
Follow work instructions, visual aids, and documentation to complete tasks accurately.
Identify, communicate, and escalate production or quality issues in a timely manner.
Maintain compliance with ESD handling procedures and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience working in electronics manufacturing.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with SMT processes and ESD practices are a plus.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and visual aids.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Good communication and teamwork skills in a production setting.
