Position Summary:

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Bozeman branch by overseeing daily operations, leading branch employees, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This position manages a team consisting of Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Warehouse/Delivery personnel while working closely with Territory Managers to support sales growth and achieve company objectives.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast paced environment, leads by example, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed; from customer service and warehouse operations to deliveries and branch administration.

Compensation: $95,000–$125,000 annually (DOE)Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day operations of the branch while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient workplace.
  • Supervise, coach, train, and develop Customer Service Representatives and Warehouse/Delivery team members.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and customer focused team culture.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by building strong relationships and resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Support Territory Managers through inside sales support, customer communication, and branch coordination.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, receiving, stocking, and product movement to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor branch performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement operational best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Manage branch accounting functions, budgeting, and overall financial performance.
  • Coordinate warehouse, counter sales, and delivery operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Make customer deliveries when business needs require.
  • Assist with counter sales, warehouse duties, and other branch operations as needed.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and maintain clear communication with employees and company leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with Territory Managers and company leadership to support sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel occasionally to customer locations, branch offices, and company events as needed to support business operations and strengthen customer relationships.
Qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience as a Branch Manager, Operations Manager, or similar management role in wholesale distribution, industrial supply, construction, or retail operations. (Preferred Qualifications / Not Required)
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to motivate and hold employees accountable.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment.
Requirements: Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and company vehicles as required.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • This is a Safety-Sensitive Position. All substances included in the company's drug testing program will be screened.
