Job Description

  • The student in this position will work across a broad suite of tasks related to the application of conservation psychology principles and methods to various projects.
  • Duties will include a range of tasks, including comprehensive literature reviews on normative leverage points within catch-and-release angling (4hr / wk), content identification and programming development for the Conservation Psychology Lab (3hr / wk), researching environmental emotions programming and application (6 hrs / wk) and engaging in regular meetings with the principle investigator (1-2hr / wk). Additional duties will be completed following consultation with the student regarding specific interests and skill development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Student has background in conservation psychology and/or related fields. Interest, experience, and/or familiarity with conservation psychology concepts, principles and methods.
  • Strong writing and critical analysis skills, including working knowledge of journal databases, references and resources. Strong desire to learn and apply insights from the behavioral sciences to a range of topical areas, including climate/environmental emotions, audience engagement, participatory research, recreational fisheries, among others.
