COMPANY OVERVIEW: MOBIS Technical Center of North America is a Research & Development center, and a Tier 1 supplier. MOBIS produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers including component modules (chassis, cockpit and front-end module), core system, eco-friendly and DAS-mechatronics. Mobis delivers the design and development of advanced engineering, autonomous driving, infotainment, component modules, safety, brake and steering systems, lamp, ICS/electronics and software development solutions that consider the safety and convenience of our customers as well as the future.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The HR Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruiting for the Mobis R&D Center, sourcing and hiring both engineering/STEM talent (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software, systems, ADAS, and infotainment displays engineers) and sales-focused business talent (e.g., Account Managers and Program Managers). The Recruiter partners with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, builds and manages talent pipelines, manages the candidate experience from first contact through offer, and facilitates New Hire Orientation to ensure a smooth and welcoming transition for incoming team members. This role requires a friendly, professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and the ability to represent the Mobis brand positively to candidates, business leaders, and new hires alike.
Requirements:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for engineering/STEM roles (mechanical, electrical, software, systems, ADAS, infotainment displays, and other R&D engineering disciplines) and sales/business roles (Account Manager, Program Manager, and related positions).
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop accurate and compelling job descriptions, and determine effective sourcing strategies for each requisition.
- Post job openings and manage requisitions across company career pages, job boards, and social media/professional platforms.
- Source active and passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, employee referrals, professional associations, and industry-specific networks (including engineering and automotive sales communities).
- Screen resumes, cover letters, and candidate profiles to assess qualifications, technical fit, and alignment with role requirements.
- Conduct pre-employment phone screenings and coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers and interview panels.
- Guide candidates through the full interview process, ensuring timely communication, a positive candidate experience, and a professional representation of Mobis at every touchpoint.
- Prepare and submit hiring approval requests with strong attention to detail, ensuring compensation, requisition, and candidate data are accurate before seeking sign-off from HR leadership and hiring managers.
- Extend verbal offers, partner with HR leadership on offer approval, and prepare offer letters and pre-employment documentation.
- Plan, coordinate, and host New Hire Orientation, ensuring new team members receive a warm welcome, accurate onboarding information, and a clear introduction to company policies, culture, and expectations.
- Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring candidate data, requisition status, and reporting are current and audit-ready.
- Track and report recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, pipeline health) and identify trends to improve recruiting effectiveness.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of engineering and sales talent for current and future hiring needs, including relationship management with candidates not selected for current openings.
- Coordinate with HR Generalists and hiring managers on internal transfers, promotions, and job posting processes.
- Represent Mobis at career fairs, university recruiting events, and industry networking events as needed.
- Ensure recruiting practices are conducted in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner, in partnership with the HR Manager.
- Maintain confidential candidate and employee information by adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- Assist with new hire data entry and processing, including new hire paperwork, background checks, and I-9/E-Verify completion.
- Performs other assignments as directed.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional recruiting experience required; experience recruiting for both technical/engineering and sales roles strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting within automotive, manufacturing, or R&D environments a strong plus.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification a plus.
DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience recruiting for engineering/STEM disciplines (mechanical, electrical, software, systems engineering) as well as sales and account management roles.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS); experience with SAP or Paylocity a plus.
- Strong understanding of employment law as it relates to recruiting and hiring practices.
- Strong Communication: must be able to clearly convey job requirements and company offerings to candidates across both technical and business audiences.
- Relationship building: must be able to build connections with potential candidates and stay in touch with those who were not offered a position.
- Presentation skills: must be comfortable and engaging when hosting New Hire Orientation sessions.
- Time management: must be able to juggle multiple open requisitions and stay organized.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- A typical work week is 45 hours/week.
- Working hours for employees are flexible with a typical day starting 7am- 9am M-F.
- Hybrid work schedule- 3 days on site required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
