THE JOB

Tidewater Environmental Services, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Operator to join our team in Vancouver, WA! In this role, you’ll support the Pacific Northwest’s industrial and marine communities by safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials to customer locations. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and operating a variety of specialized equipment, including tractor-trailer combinations, roll-off trucks (straight truck and trailer), street sweepers, and wet/dry vacuum trucks (tankers and guzzlers).

This position will:

• Maintain a teamwork mentality and work effectively with others.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with employees and customers via cell phone and face-to-face interactions.
• Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
• Safely load and unload equipment, materials, and vacuum hoses.
• Ensure the successful, safe, and timely transportation and delivery of products.
• Operate commercial vehicles and specialized equipment in compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company procedures.
• Follow safe work practices, maintain regular attendance, and participate in on-call assignments as required.

THE BENEFITS & PAY

• Hiring Wages: $31.18 or $34.93/ hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

• Up to an additional $3.25/ hour based on endorsements and on-the-job experience

• Wage increase after 1040 hours worked if hired on at the entry level wage rate.

• Overtime is paid for all weekend work and any work beyond eight hours per day or 40 hours per week

THE CATCH

• A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Obtain and maintain a valid TWIC Card in accordance with Department of Homeland Security and TSA guidelines within 15 days of hire date.

• All employment offers are contingent on the successful completion of a pre-employment physical, DOT drug screen, criminal background check, driving record check, and driving test.

THE COMPANY

Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, with a second location in Kent, Washington, Tidewater Environmental Services offers a range of services, including industrial cleaning, hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation, wet/dry vacuum services, tank cleaning, and ship cargo hold cleaning throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and parts of California. We operate seven days a week, 24 hours per day, to serve our customers.
