Medical Records Clerk in Albuquerque, New Mexico at X-Ray Associates of New Mexico

X-Ray Associates of New Mexico is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. This position plays an important role in ensuring patient imaging records are accurately processed, maintained, and distributed while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily imaging record requests and pull lists
• Process medical record and imaging requests from patients, providers, and medical facilities
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with record inquiries
• Send images and records electronically as requested
• Research and locate patient records using multiple computer systems
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
• Communicate professionally with patients, physicians' offices, and healthcare facilities

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous medical records, healthcare, or office experience preferred
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows applications
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience working with multi-line phone systems preferred
