Position Description

Job Summary:

The Preventative Maintenance Service Technician is responsible for conducting regular maintenance checks and inspections on various equipment and commercial vehicles to keep a large fleet of trucks and yellow iron operational. This position is critical to the continuation of all Summers-Taylor operations companywide. Attention to detail, multi-tasking, quality and timeliness of work are vital to be successful in this position. This position will be a second shift position at our Johnson City location.

Job Duties:

• Perform routing inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and fleet.

• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment as needed.

• Maintain records of maintenance activities and report issues or defects accordingly.

• Communicate effectively with shop team and supervisors.

• Detailed-oriented and able to maintain accurate records

• Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures and regulatory guidelines
