Shift Availability

Tuesday through Saturday Requires one evening shift per week (3:30 PM–11:00 PM); one weekend shift (11:00 AM-6:30 PM); remaining shifts are 10:30 AM–6:00 PM with a 30-minute break.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Senior Community Residence Counselor to support individuals in our OMH residential programs. This role is ideal for candidates interested in behavioral health, psychology, or human services who want hands-on experience making a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality services are provided to each person supported through person-centered planning and maximize opportunities for integration with the community.
• Assist the Supervisor in monitoring and documenting the delivery of all services.
• Implementation of person supported behavioral support plans/strategies and documentation of person supported behaviors.
• Participate in the departmental on-call system including remaining on-call for the work week and participate in the weekend on-call system.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of staffing plans to ensure each person’s health and safety, including the possibility of providing direct care when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree
• Minimum of one (1) year experience working the field of Human Services
• Valid NY State driver’s license with a clean driving record
