About the Position:
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Representative administers and issues federal and state housing vouchers and completes various clerical and administrative tasks and duties for the department, including (but not limited to) annual recertifications, interim changes, Requests for Tenancy Approval (RFTA), and new lease-ups. The Program Representative provides exceptional customer service to internal and external clients, including program participants, landlords, coworkers, and community partners.
This is a full-time, fully benefitted, onsite position in Worcester, MA. Essential Functions:
- Processes annual recertifications in compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations, meeting expected metrics and goals.
- Conducts interim changes.
- Processes Requests for Tenancy Approval (RFTA) and new lease-ups.
- Issues vouchers and prepares moving packages for approved participants.
- Serves as the front desk liaison on a rotation with the other Program Representatives, providing exceptional customer service to participants, clients, and visitors to the building.
- Provides exceptional customer service, including timely responsiveness to calls and emails within periods set by the Program Manager.
- Assists Senior Program Representatives with special programs, as requested.
- Performs similar job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree is a plus.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional office experience in a clerical/administrative role.
- Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft (Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills; calm and personable demeanor and ability to deescalate.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations and to use a calculator.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a busy environment with frequent interruption.
- Ability to read, write, type, speak, and understand English well. Bilingual candidates a plus.
- Ability to be relied upon to be available for work.
- Ability to spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to spend occasional time walking, including climbing stairs.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
