Senior Lead - Strategy

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Lead - Strategy based in India.

This role sits at the intersection of corporate strategy, growth, product, marketing, and sales within a global technology environment. You will identify short- and long-term opportunities across developer markets and product lines to support revenue growth and shape strategic direction. The position combines market intelligence, competitive analysis, commercial strategy, and rigorous data-driven problem-solving. You’ll lead high-impact strategic initiatives and complex workstreams, translating insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving situations. You’ll own initiatives from initial hypothesis and formulation through execution, measurement, and outcome assessment. This is a remote-first opportunity for a Mumbai-based professional who can influence stakeholders across a global organization.

Accountabilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market trends, competitive dynamics, customer needs, developer markets, and product opportunities.

  • Develop data-driven strategies designed to support product revenue growth, market expansion, cross-selling, monetization, and commercialization.

  • Lead selected strategic projects and major workstreams connected to key growth drivers, developing recommendations for executive leadership.

  • Identify, prioritize, and structure complex strategic issues that influence product priorities and commercial outcomes.

  • Build fact-based hypotheses, business cases, and recommendations that demonstrate potential bottom-line and long-term financial impact.

  • Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and other cross-functional leaders to translate strategic recommendations into effective execution plans.

  • Own the full lifecycle of strategic initiatives, from conceptualization and formulation through implementation, measurement, and outcome assessment.

  • Establish success metrics and evaluate initiatives against predefined objectives, with a focus on tangible business and financial outcomes.

  • Monitor competitive and market developments within the developer and SaaS ecosystems and translate relevant insights into strategic opportunities.

  • Work with limited direction in complex and ambiguous environments, bringing structure and analytical rigor to challenging business questions.

  • Communicate strategic recommendations clearly to executives, functional leaders, regional management, and other stakeholders.

  • Coordinate multiple complex projects and processes involving stakeholders at different organizational levels and across functions.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and executive presence in team interactions, customer communications, and engagements with senior stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2+ years in management consulting, growth, business operations, strategy, or a closely related function.

  • Superior strategic thinking, analytical reasoning, and structured problem-solving capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of market research, competitive analysis, commercial strategy, growth opportunities, and revenue drivers.

  • Familiarity with the developer ecosystem and/or SaaS market, with the ability to stay current on market and competitive trends.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate market and customer insights into actionable strategic recommendations, including cross-selling and commercialization opportunities.

  • Strong quantitative and data-analysis capabilities, with experience developing fact-based recommendations and measuring business outcomes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and long-term strategic visions clearly.

  • Strong executive presence and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels of a global, matrixed organization.

  • Proven ability to structure, manage, and coordinate multiple complex cross-functional initiatives simultaneously.

  • Comfortable working independently with limited direction in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, with the maturity to work effectively with senior management, peers, clients, and external partners.

  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors and the ability to drive initiatives from strategy development through execution and measurable outcomes.

Benefits
  • Remote-first work environment, with the role requiring the candidate to be based in Mumbai.

  • Comprehensive medical insurance with INR 5,00,000 coverage for the employee, spouse, up to two dependent children, and parents or parents-in-law.

  • 25 days of paid leave annually, covering annual and sick leave.

  • Gazetted public holidays and special leave for qualifying life events.

  • Statutory gratuity benefits in accordance with the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.

  • Remote-first allowance supporting home-office setup, connectivity, accessories, co-working spaces, and wellbeing.

  • Opportunity to work on high-impact strategy initiatives spanning product, growth, marketing, and sales.

  • Exposure to senior executives and cross-functional leadership within a global technology organization.

  • Opportunities to influence monetization, commercialization, market expansion, and long-term growth strategies.
