DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL in SPRINGFIELD, Virginia at Hartwood Foundation

Expected Outcomes:

Responsible for the support associated with all aspects of personal growth, self-directedness and community integration and of ADL care, including but not limited to: feeding, hygiene, medications and community activities.

Encourage and support with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, lifting/transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication or other needs in keeping with the individuals support requirement.

Promote individual's rights, dignity, freedom of choice and their individuality according to person centered thinking and planning.

Accurate, timely communication and documentation via program communication logs.

Responsible for promptly reporting incidents, or evidence of abuse or violation of individual's rights.

Interact with individuals, family members, office staff and partner agencies tactfully and respectfully with special care taken to protect privacy and confidentiality in sensitive and emotional situations.
